It took me weeks of relentless practice to reach the top of this climb. It may not look like much, but it was blood, sweat, and tears of joy. As a matter of fact, on the hike out, I tripped and dislocated my coccyx…ouch!
I climb to rise up, to go higher…to reach heights I’m not sure I can reach.
As a climber, I push myself and never give up.
Guess how many times I fell?
Guess how many people told me I couldn’t do it?
Guess how banged up and bruised I was?
Why do I climb? Because climbing to the top and enjoying the view is amazing. There’s nothing like working toward a goal and accomplishing that goal despite how long it takes. There is joy in the persistence and perseverance.
It’s the same feeling I get as an entrepreneur. When I left my corporate job and started my own company, I wasn’t sure how I was going to succeed.
As an entrepreneur, I push myself and never give up.
Guess how many times I fell?
Guess how many people told me I couldn’t do it?
Guess how banged up and bruised I was?
Why am I an entrepreneur? Because being my own boss is amazing. Because doing great work for great clients and helping them be successful is amazing.
Climbing and entrepreneurship aren’t so different…a relentless pursuit to rise up.
